Industrial Instrumentation

industrial Instrumentation

Industrial instrumentation grants corporations the ability to make verifiable, precise, and reproducible measurements of various elements of the natural world. Without a doubt, instrumentation has revolutionized the ability of corporations and other entities to monitor elements and respond accordingly. Without industrial instrumentation, corporations would not have the ability to measure many parameters, such as pressure, viscosity, voltage, temperature, and more. However, to reap the full advantages of industrial instrumentation, it is important that instruments are installed and calibrated properly.

Fortunately, here at W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractor, Inc., we specialize in industrial instrumentation. Not only are our employees well-trained and well-versed, but they also have access to a fleet of service vehicles. Therefore, our licensed and certified service employees are able to perform industrial instrumentation at any time of the day and any day of the week.

Industrial Instrumentation

Our experienced and knowledgeable technicians have access to certified test equipment to ensure that they have the tools necessary to do a job well done. After all, we realize that proper calibration and installation of instruments is vital to the operations of many corporations and other organizations. In addition, some of the industries we serve include pulp and paper, power, food, brewing, mining, and the manufacturing industries.

Here are some of the industrial instrumentation services we offer here at the W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractor, Inc.:

  • Instrument and tubing installation– We install instruments and tubing for organizations that require our industrial instrumentation
  • Loop checks– After installation, we conduct signal checks. Our technicians will visit the field and send real signals from all transmitting devices to the controllers. The signals will then become sent from the controllers to the control element. Our technicians will accomplish this with simulated signals or by using inert gasses or fluids to fill the system and simulate actual conditions. The purpose of the loop checks is to give corporations the assurance that the instruments and tubing have become installed properly.
  • Start-up and commissioning– The technician will start-up the systems after verification of all loops and control functions. The technician will need to work with the owner or representatives. We may call in specialty vendors for support of non-conventional hardware.
