Michael L. Corrigan
Dear Bill Gay,
On behalf of the City Council, I wanted to write and thank you and the W.W Gay family of companies for your willingness to step up and serve as a presenting sponsor for the 2007 Gator Bowl football game. As a long-time member and former Chairman of the Gator Bowl Association, you certainly know and appreciate what a tremendous asset the game is for this community. It is a source of great civic pride and an important economic engine for the city and the Northeast Florida region.
As a life-long relationship of this city and as the current City Council President, I know what a great asset the W.W Gay has long been an outstanding and your many employees are to Jacksonville. W.W Gay has long been an outstanding corporate citizen, providing substantial financial support, employee volunteers, and leadership to a countless array of worthy civic causes. This is just one more example of the way that W.W Gay contributes to making Jacksonville such a great place to live and work.
You and your family of employees are to be congratulated for this latest big step. The city is tremendously grateful for all that you do.
